Staying Connected Art Competition

Here at Tipperary Volunteer Centre we want to do our bit to promote the national Keep Well campaign. With that in mind we are asking you to channel your inner creativity in our “Staying Connected” art competition. Never has it been as important for us all to stay connected while maintaining our social distance and we want you to depict that for us.

The competition is open to all ages and judging will be based on the following age categories :

Under 8 , 8 to 12 years , 13 to 15 years , 16 to 18 years , 18 years+

A total prize fund of €800 has been allocated to the competition with the top 6 entries in the Under eight and 8 to 12-year-old categories receiving a €25 voucher each and the top 3 in each of the remaining categories receiving a €50 voucher each. The vouchers will be for a Tipperary based shop or business of the winner’s choice.

There are no limits to the type of design and markers, crayons, paints or pencils can be used. All entries will be displayed on the Tipperary Volunteer Centre’s website and social media accounts.

Entry to the competition is simple. You can scan and email your entry to [email protected] with subject line “Staying Connected Entry” or physical post it to:
Staying Connected, Tipperary Volunteer Centre, Chapel Lane, Cashel, Co. Tipperary. E25X239 – please note we will not be able to return any artwork that is posted to us.

Closing date is Tuesday 15th December 2020.

To be eligible for the competition all you need to do is:
1. Live in County Tipperary
2. Have a parents or guardians permission to enter the competition if you are under 18 years of age.
3. Ensure your entry is received by Tipperary Volunteer Centre either by email or post before Wednesday 16th December.
4. Ensure your entry is accompanied by your name, age category being entered, address, contact number and email. If you are under 18 the contact number and email address must be of the parent or guardian who gave you permission to enter the competition.
5. Agree to your artwork being displayed via digital or traditional print, your artwork will be accredited to you. Selected artwork may also be anonymously posted to give a lift to the vulnerable and socially isolated in our communities at this time.

Best of luck and remember it’s all about depicting “Staying Connected” and there will be a bonus prize of a €50 voucher for the entry that portrays the most novel way of staying connected in these challenging times.
