Tipperary Together – Call for content

Published:

Since the Covid pandemic has gripped our lives there has been an overwhelming response from the community and voluntary sector. Powerful acts of kindness brought about by volunteers and volunteer involving organisation have made a real difference to every parish across the County.

Tipperary Volunteer Centre in partnership with our friends in Tipperary PPN and Tipperary County Council wish to acknowledge and celebrate that impact by telling your story. The unity of purpose which saw service providers and community groups come together resulted in a coordinated countywide approach through the Community Call forum that brought Tipperary Together.

From structures community organisations through to the rise of informal volunteer led groups no-one was left behind. It is a fantastic story that we want to document and celebrate but we need your help.

Our ask is that you email your stories and photos to [email protected] before 5pm on the 26th February.
The content of the few paragraphs should cover what you or your group did to address COVID-19 head on in your local area. It would be great if you had some photographs to accompany the story or even a few lines from someone who benefited from your efforts.

If writing the short story is not your thing. That’s no issue either. Feel free to email [email protected] and Tipperary Volunteer Centre will be in contact to assist you. You can even send in the photo’s without the story and we will take it from there.
The Tipperary Together story is to good not to be told. Lets preserve it and tell it together by creating the Tipperary Together storybook.
